I hiked this one as an overnighter this past weekend. After the 3 mile mark there was considerable mtn bike traffic. There are a few epic waterfall overlooks just before the intersection with Sourdough trail with Wilderness camping an options from near there until the second stream crossing. Lots of downed trees in this area with many blocking the trail. The first 3 miles is a patchwork of private land with evidence of heavy moose presence. At trails end you only have a short walk to the Long Lake trailhead and only 1/4 mile on to the lake. The return trip is a breeze being 98% downhill. **I am not sure why but the map here only represents the first half of the trail. THis trail continues to within a half mile of Long Lake.
