It was okay. I was the only there the whole time. I have a low clearance awd car and had to park down the road near the cabins. No real reward at the end. Just pretty thick forest

Trail head is difficult to find. You have to go up a steep small road past the campground. It looks residential but then you turn right and then a steep left up the hill for maybe half a mile. The trail head is there. All uphill. some nice wildflowers. Not muddy. Some bugs but not too bad. We could not find any Official end to the trail. So just turned around and came back down! Very nice day.

Hidden gem! Buried in the forest, this hike is shady and cool. Unfortunately no real “destination” at the top, the trail just seems to peter out. Good workout though, fairly steep, especially the first mile.

Nice hike with beautiful yellow wildflowers. Mostly uphill with a few small creeks to cross. This would be a beautiful fall hike since most of the trees are Aspens.

Easy to moderate hike. Not much to see at the top. Lots of down trees in the trail. Mosquitoes were bad so be prepared. Water proof shoes recommended due to water on trail.

A rocky trail thru beautiful thick forest. It's a pretty trail that's uphill pretty much all the way and ends in the meadow opening. Not the most scenic hike ever but its was pleasant and not a lot of people on it.

Pretty hike through the woods but not much to look at once you're at the top.

The turns for the trail are: 1) 103 to Hefferman Gulch (good dirt road), 2) right at the first fork (rockier here but OK for SUV), 3) left at the next fork, 4) parking area and trailhead are reportedly a bit farther along from here. All turns except Hefferman Gulch are unmarked. As of Fall 2016, camping is prohibited for regrowth / forest maintenance. The area has been heavily abused and locals are tired of people tramping through their cabin yards. Even with the help of a kind local, we went wrong and ended up having a nice walk on a forest service road. We'll try again sometime. Pretty area.

Trail is fairly steep & rocky, beautiful & opens into a lovely meadow above tree line. The creek is nearby & I hiked on a Saturday morning & only saw 2 other hikers.
