Good hike. On the easier side of moderate. I went clockwise which I think was maybe a bit more difficult like previous reviewers have said just because a lot of the climbing is in the last mile. Other than that there is a tiny bit of steep stairs. Got to the TH at 9a, was pretty crowded, but with all the isolation lately I didn’t mind it so much. All of the mountain bikers were very courteous except one rude dude.

Great loop! Vistas, river views, well maintained path. Somewhat busy and keep an eye out for bikers.

Trail is well packed and really nice after the recent rain. Finished around 10:30 and the parking lot was less than half full. Great trail to avoid the crowds of the usual Boulder fare.

This was a nice typical front range loop. Good shade and lots of water. There are some descent views in spots. The trail is super busy. We went counter clockwise and most people go clockwise it seems. The climbs are more gradual going counter clockwise. We were glad we had an early start with so many people it was tiring trying to social distance and out on the masks for every group.

Beautiful! And variety of views. Doesn’t feel like 8 miles. Went counterclockwise and glad we did. This hike has a good amount of shade too. Need a mask.

Really enjoyed this trail. Good mix of exposed vs shaded. Occasional mtn bikers coming through. The AllTrails map led us off trail at one point but we were able to get back on track.

Did this hike today and it was awesome! We arrived at 11 and the lot was full, but we drove around for about 5 min and it opened back up. There are a few challenging inclines, but good breaks of flat or downhill in between to rest. We did the route counterclockwise. We feel like there might be more incline if you do it clockwise, but could be wrong. Many bikers on the path, but pretty easy to keep an eye out and to step out of their way! Overall some really great views and the river was amazing. Definitely recommend this one!

Possibly my new favorite hike I’m the boulder area. Much less crowded than the trails off chataqua and the trail is wide enough that when you do see anyone else you can easily step 6ft away. Highly recommended. This loop is mildly challenging with some elevation at certain points but well worth it. Saw pretty big ol snakey snake when finishing the loop, so careful not to step on one.

Beautiful beautiful beautiful! Good uphill going either way. Clockwise is a little better biking (more downhill less up) and vise versa. Amazing flowy areas. Beautiful river views.

Great to bring dogs to the river

Quick and easy trail. Many bikers out today but not too much foot traffic. The trail begins as a decent down to the creek. We stopped on some rocks by the water for an hour or so to catch some rays. Headed back up to the parking lot, which got the heart rate up but was not difficult. Free parking, public bathrooms, dogs on a leash.

Great trail. Creek was running fast. Just perfect.

Great walk. Hung out in the creek to cool Off.
