Had enough challenge to make it fun! And the views at the top were unbelievable. We saw a moose!

Well marked trip, can stop at Mesa unless want to see more mesa. Lots of pikas on way. Watch for weather at top, little cover.

HikingGreat!

Gorgeous views on the way and at the top. Relatively easy trail for experienced/ fit hikers. At the top, it opens up into a vast field with really cool views. The trail flattens out at that point. Way more scenic than we were expecting! Also saw some American pikas on the trail.

Really awesome hike up to Snow Mesa! The trail is pretty much up the whole way but it isn’t very long to reach the Mesa. I’d rate it as easy-moderate for advanced hikers and moderate-difficult for beginners and out of shape people (like myself). Gets rocky and portions of trail washed out close to the top but it is easily navigable. Great hike. Only wish I could’ve stayed longer if the thunderclouds didn’t come in.

This was one of my favorite places along the Colorado Trail. It’s a beautiful expanse of practically flat Alpine field with epic views of jagged mountains all around. When I revisited Colorado a few years later, I made sure to go back up to Snow Mesa.
