Great trail. A bit hard in spots to stay on trail when ground is covered in snow. Snow also made the last .4 miles a bit slippery
Today’s hike was incredibly beautiful - amazing vistas. Five minutes on the trail and we ran into a bull moose - young but majestic in his dark black coat. Then we saw his mate and young calf. What a great way to start. A real challenge with the elevation gain (I’m 73!) but we did it. Eager to find out why the highest point of the trail had a strong aroma of dung and maybe even urine. Elk mating grounds?

Great trail with gorgeous views in all directions. Half jogged half walked up (had planned to jog but starting at 11k elevation k Ike’s my butt), messed around with handstands at the summit, then ran/jogged all the way down. Good quick hike.
It was a perfect trail for a bluebird sky fall day. The views were astounding. The fall colors were vibrant under the perfect blue sky sunny day. The surrounding peaks could be clearly seen. You felt like there was a wall of mountains all around you. It was enough elevation gain and miles to get your heart rate pumping. It was a perfect stop to do a quick hike on the ride back to Denver from Vail.
Nice views at the end. Prone to wind at the end while on the ridge so avoid this on a windy day.

I wanted to do this trail all summer. Finally made it in October. Nice day, started around 11. About 10 other groups on the trail, but it felt like we had it to ourselves. Trail was dry, no bugs, great fall colors. Views in every direction.

My wife and I began hiking at 12 noon and the weather could not have been any better - what an absolutely gorgeous experience! Although we had not gone on a mountain hike this summer and would consider ourselves average in physical fitness - we were able to complete this hike. Moderate would describe it accurately; however, there are some very treacherous and rocky parts of the trail. Slow and steady wins the race for sure! Every single minute up the trail reveals a new and wondrous scenic view. Would highly recommend this everyone! The fall colors were just incredible.
Lots of vistas.... moderate hike.. moderate traffic...extra ordinary fall colors! Perfect day...
Great views all the way

Wonderful trail from beginning to end. Immediately the beautiful alpine meadows with mnts. in background gorgeous. Two steeper climbs but moderate all the way. The views from top spectacular and the rock formations at very top a special surprise. You come to a plateau and can go right or left. I took the right where the rock formations are. Highly recommend.

Nice easy-going hike. Took me about 2-2 1/2 hours. Steady incline which offers a nice workout. Great trail to bring your dog along. View at the top makes this worth the trip.
Great hike, make sure you go the total distance as the views are spectacular.

Second time hiking, really like it
loved this. I'm a little out of shape and also almost 60, from sea level. we took our time and made it to the top. amazing views!
Great trail with some spectacular views. Conditions were mostly dry with a couple of very small wet spots
A great trail for the family. A couple of steep spots but pretty gentle climbs most of the time.

my favorite hike in this area. beautiful 360 degree views. bottom is wet in early summer. September is a great time to hike this trail.
Beautiful views! Very moderate trail with a couple of climbs. Took us two hours round trip with a little stop at the top. Parking lot was empty when we got there at about 945am on a Friday but was pretty packed once we got back around noon. Definitely recommend this hike!
Great trail! Moderate hike with terrific views! Still a few wildflowers.
