Just hiked it with my uncle, cousin, brother and niece, all Shipler's and have a family tie to Joseph Shipler who lived in the cabin for over 30 years. Beautiful country and great hike.

The trail is washed out part of the way which made it interesting! Fun hike! Beautiful scenery - we saw elk and mountain goats.

This is a great hike if you want to enjoy the thick wooded areas opening up to some really pretty meadowlands. We really enjoyed the rock face mountains towards the end of the hike just before reaching the cabin.

The cabin is not much more than the original log baseboards but it is still pretty cool to see where a cabin once stood.

We only saw a marmot on the hike but spoke with a few people who stated that earlier in the morning the came up on a cow moose and calf.

Overall we enjoyed the hike and would do it again!
