Not a ton of people on the trail even during the middle of the day on a Sunday. Well maintained trail and good for trail running.

Awesome hike! Have had a hard time finding easy trails that are great for kids/older parents AND interesting for me.

Good hike. It was nice walking in the lodge pole pines which helped break the wind. Short but sweet

Nice, easy trail with lots of shade. Pretty wildflowers in August. You can hear the road for half of the hike.

Nice easy to medium trail with boulders. Trail is mostly through the woods not in wide open fields.

Super fun loop trail with easy access. Great trail for a flatlander from South Dakota. Long gentle inclines through open meadows and pine forest followed by long fun single-track downhill back to the trailhead. There was one section that was a bit too technical for me, but otherwise this was a fantastic trail for the weekend mountain biker.

A beautiful, easy hike or mtb loop. From parking area on shadow mountain drive, loop took 2 hours at an easy pace. Love the varied terrain including dense forest. A handful of interpretive signs make it a nice hike for any out-of-town guests. At the main parking area off the Flying J Ranch road, there are clean restrooms and some covered picnic sites.

Been here twice with our 2-year old. Great for low key hikers and easy to get to from Denver. Definitely recommend for young kids or family members that maybe aren't in for a strenuous hike.

Great easy hike. 3.1 miles of rolling terrain through a Conifer forest. The track is smooth dirt with many ruts but few rocks. Makes for a nice shady hike with fresh pine scent. Parking is limited.

For an easy trail with shade, it's top notch. Go early as there's a small parking lot. Not too many bikers generally, which makes it a much more pleasant hike.

Lovely little loop just a short drive from Denver. Hoped to snowshoe but the trail was either dry or packed down, so a hike sufficed instead. Saw maybe a half dozen others out, mostly with dogs.
