Nice, mostly level hike for most of it. Lots of downed trees-maybe not good for someone with bad knees. You have to go over or under a fair amount of logs. Trail gets pretty narrow at spots. Overall a nice hike with great views of SM Lake.

Loved walking shoreline to fire lookout. Excellent workout. Sad to see so much beetle kill trees still waiting to fall in the forest. It was cool to hike and watch water skiers on Grand Lake!

Nice hike up the mountain. They have cleared the fallen trees, so easy passage. Beetle damage is pretty severe in some spots, but still great views. Took a 9 year old and 10 year old - they were able to make it with some stops.

Beautiful! A lot of downed trees across the trail, but super beautiful!

Nice trail, moderate elevation gain. The tail can be busy with hikers.
