Just hiked this mid morning on 7 Oct and saw a mama moose, her calf and a bull moose in the meadow. That alone made it a spectacular hike but the reservoir topped it off. It was beautiful and so clear! We only passed one group of hikers but there were several people at the lake. We were tempted to return on the lower end (stay right at the beginning) to see the moose again but completed the loop through a residential area.

This is a really nice trail. It is not hard and the reservoir is beautiful! definitely worth the trip

Nice quick hike you can do straight from town. Pretty creek you can stop at along the way. Nice reservoir at the top. Easy for those just getting acclimated to the altitude or looking at a quick hike from town! Well kept trail!

A great hike as you adjust to higher altitudes. A slow incline and flat walking around the reservoir. Beautiful spots along the stream to stop and rest.

Our first short hike in Colorado. It was perfect! Probably around 2 miles including the walk from our condo to the trailhead. The Trails App is helpful. Was nice to be able to check it every once And awhile to see where we were on the trail. Great hike for beginners!
