Friday morning run Trail all to my self. Trail is dry after all the rain
Was surprised that this was rated as beginner mt biking trail. Some parts were more technical than I’d expect from a beginner trail. Pretty views, single track with a couple of switchbacks and lots of rocks (River rock but mostly red rock were it can be a bit slick) - I enjoyed it, but was more in the mood for true beginner where I wouldn’t need to pick my line and pay attention so much simply because I was a bit tired today.
Beautiful in the snow; good traction; great for a beginner trail run
Snow covered but the moon lit up the trail for us, we didn’t need headlamps.
Done about 3 times always different little things hidden on the trail
Good trail, but it has seen many mountain bikes in the last few months and I can see the condition of the trail has deteriorated significantly. Hopefully it will get repaired soon.
It is a very easy trail with great views of the Colorado River and the full moon as it rises over Grand Junction.
This was the first trail I ever mountain biked on, and I have to say I was a great experience! There's a ton of variety here, way more than I was expecting for a beginner's trail. there's gravel and sand, and a surprising amount of slickrock too. None of it is so difficult as to be genuinely frightening, though my boyfriend and I did walk certain portions of it. It feels like "real" mountain biking! Plus, there's even little signs around to give tips and tricks to noobs like me. Absolutely reccomended.
Beautiful easy trail. If you're hiking, get there early before all the mountain bikers.
great hike early in the morning! we got there just after 8am and by the time we were done, the parking lot was packed. good number of mountain bikes so remain alert. great trail for beginners, just the right level of difficulty to push yourself but finish strong.
Tonight it seemed to be very beat up by the mountain bikes. Lots of sandy areas that used to be hard trail.
Great trail with beautiful views of the river! No shade. Not crowded at all.
