Definitely an easy hike, nice gravel trail around the lakes. Last time I was out I saw plover, killdeer, white pelicans, lots of red-winged blackbirds, hawks, baby geese, and a song bird I didn’t recognize but couldn’t get enough markings to positively ID. The diversity of the natural area makes this a great place for different types of birds if you’re out early.

I wouldn’t call this a moderate hike definitely on the easy side but has pretty views around the lakes

Easy, flat, well maintained walking paths around several ponds. Multiple picnic tables, areas to fish and great mountain views .
