This trail had a few nice views of the canyon. However, the trail is not marked very well and we had to reference our AllTrails app many times to stay on the right loop. Lots of mud down by the creek bottoms. Overall, it’s close to town which is a perk. This trail is closer to 4.8 miles though so be aware of that.

Beautiful hike with a diverse trail. Parts are muddy, rocky and a few steep places. Overall fantastic. May not be able to hike the creek trail when the snow starts to melt due to it being right next to the creek, this is where its a little muddy.

Fun romp around the canyon and alongside the creek. Trails are dry, and lots of bug and birds around. Trail is easy - it’s not technical nor very strenuous. Good times! 10/10 would romp around again.

Gorgeous hike! It’s more like 4.5 miles, so be warned. Ran into 3 rattle snakes on the hike down from the top, but they were very gracious. Be aware of your surroundings!

This was a good trail, a couple inclines here and there, but nice views for basically the whole trail. I think this route is underrated, not a lot of people seem to go this way. A lot of people on the trail here and there but I think this trail gets the best of both the bottom of the creek and the top of rim rock. There's no shade at the top of the rim rock. Took my dog and he got to cool off in the creek too!

It is a great hike that we love. It is easily accessible from multiple parts of the park. You can take the route clockwise or counterclockwise, we’ve done it both ways. No matter which way you take there is a good climb to the top and a good decent back down at the other end. Very beautiful views on the way to the top, while on top, and while in the canyon. I’d say it is kid friendly if they have the distance, the hike up will take a bit longer, but doable for older children.
