We cut this trail a bit short, but for being so close to town and getting away from horsetooth traffic, this is a nice hike for locals.

I loved this trail! Beautiful views and wonderful flowers. There is no shade at all so bring sunscreen and plenty of water

Great hike for kids, great views of both the reservoir and town. Popular hike but not bad on a Sunday afternoon. The trail can be rocky at times so bring good shoes. Oh and sunscreen !

Solid trail close to home, or if you're staying downtown in FC. Quick and easy, not too difficult.

Not much elevation gain but beautiful hike. Great for beginner to intermediate!

Mix of moderate and mild inclines. Loose rocks; wear solid traction shoes. Beautiful view at the top. Enjoy :)

The first leg of the trail from the parking lot is a bit steep, but short. After that initial effort, it is a relatively easy hike. Some parts of the trail on the north east side was covered it very loose shale shards, making walking a bit difficult and unstable, but most of the rest of the trail is fine.
