We came with the intention of doing the entire trail, but we ended up hanging out at the Red Rocks area and didn't do the Anemone Trail. The Red Rock area is quite unique, with jagged red rocks jutting into the sky. It reminded me of Gardens of the Gods in Colorado Springs, just smaller and fewer red rocks. We climbed a bit on them and there was a view of Boulder from there as well. Short but sweet hike!

Not a fan of the dry gravely paths, but nice workout I’ve needed. Appreciate the cool creek nearby to cool off after such a hot day. Note Anemone is closed weekdays bc they are changing/reconstructing the trail.

5/23/20 – Don’t let the short distance/elevation profile fool you; this was a good workout. Make sure you have good treads on your shoes as the trail was very slick with loose gravel/sand, especially during the steeper inclines/descents. There is some trail construction on the Anemone Trail, but nothing that deters your route. It looks like they are working on creating some new trails. Not busy at all on a Saturday morning, but the parking lot was close to full when I finished my hike around 10AM.

What a nice little cardio work out. There was quite a bit of trash throughout which is frustrating but the views of the city and mountain over power that. Next time I would probably go counter clockwise as it was hard to climb down the rocks instead of just climbing down a dirt path. Heavy traffic but is dog and family friendly.

Nice hike. A lot of people on the trail even during the quarantine. I can only imagine it would be super crowded during regular season, but there is plenty of little side trails that connect back to the main trail. We really enjoyed this one.

bottom of trail wide, nice rocks and views and good cardio for hiker or runner without being too long. great view at top. Not much shade so great for spring. There is a breeze at the top. the trail was dry.

This is a great trail, or actually a set of trails, close to Boulder with a lot of options to loop or explore.

Fun quick hike with great and vastly different views. Steep incline parts - short but intense. Slippery.

Really cool red rock structures with well maintained trails around the rocks and foothills.
