As others mentioned, many trails are not marked, and mapped trails are often changed for reclamation. Clockwise means a long walk down loose rock and gravel, but I think the views are better. Nice loop with many different views.

A lot of the trail was closed off for reclamation. Other than that, very nice. Quite a bit rocky with uneven ground. Not too terrible.

parts of the trail were closed off for reclamation but there was an easy way around that only added about half a mile I think

Highly varied and very entertaining terrain! Breakdown to winding paths to wide open meadows. Good morning workout and highly recommended.

Nice trail and not too difficult. Trail markings aren't great but you are golden with the app. I love that this trail is less than 10 minutes from my home.

Great way to get away from the crowds. I’ve done this hike a couple times clockwise. Just be aware of closed trails, they’re constantly changing. You will have to take an alternative way onto the Rim Trail. All-in-all, it’s a nice little challenge. Get there early to avoid the heat in the summer.

Great trail! We hiked it counter-clockwise and used the map to make sure we didn't get lost. On the way down Rim Trail we were able to drop into the canyon instead of following the "boring" Rim Trail - way more enjoyable that way!

Gorgeous trails! I went off a little on my own and I highly recommend doing that! There are so many things to see. There's also this incredible large OFF LEASH DOG TRAIL that is all fenced in! It is so nice to just let the pups off leash and let them do their own thing. Lots of peace and quiet to be had here. I came during COVID times and about 50% of ppl are masking, so make sure you mask up! Also bring a lot of water because it is dry and hot here in August with little shade and you'll be thirsty.

Really short walk to the views! It was worth seeing, but not a very involved hike. Lots of signs saying to not climb or scramble on the rocks. You’re on a gravel road for the majority of the trail. There are a few maps along the trail, but overall it is poorly marked and easy to get off route. Would be a good place for beginner mountain biking!

Fun trail, beautiful views. Not marked well , we turned this 5 mile hike into 7 miles by having to back track to stay aligned with downloaded map.

Trail markings weren’t always clear (some signs were physically broken or worn down) but inclines were very gentle making for easy hiking. There were some pretty vistas, especially from the top of the quarry featured in many of the photos. There were a fair number of climbers, mountain bikers, and hikers who brought their children or dogs to explore the canyon.

Great trail right out of the Colorado Springs main stretch. We ended up taking a few different trails within the park and looped back out via the Sand Canyon/Mesa Trail. Ultimately we hiked for a total of 9 miles. There are a few stretches with little to no shade that you need to consider. The park offers a little bit of everything hiking wise and it is a great chance to see wildlife like deer.
