After Garden of the Gods, this is a must do hike in the Springs area and great for kids. The Sand Canyon portion of the trail is particularly enjoyable with all the rock formations and pic opportunities with the kids. An easy loop trail can take you over to the quarry and back by the lake on the Greenlee portion for a shorter 3 mile version, but you have lots of offshoots to explore. The quarry portion is neat because of the built in steps that were carved into the rock. Just a nice go to trail...

Great trail right out of the Colorado Springs main stretch. We ended up taking a few different trails within the park and looped back out via the Sand Canyon/Mesa Trail. Ultimately we hiked for a total of 9 miles. There are a few stretches with little to no shade that you need to consider. The park offers a little bit of everything hiking wise and it is a great chance to see wildlife like deer.

My family and I hiked this trail last week. Trail was dry, views were beautiful, and trail was not crowded. This is a kid friendly trail (our youngest is 7 y/o) and took about 2.5 hours.

this trail was a lot of fun. lots to see. the sights were interesting but the trail was easy. theres some paths that stray from the trails which I would call light scrambling. worth going.

This rating is for all the trails. This park was a lot of fun. Watch out for hikers. It’s cool to see the rock climbers as well.

Not very scenic compared to some of the other trails I've hiked around CO. The Rim Rock trail is not very well marked and at one point GPS was out - another couple strayed from the Palmer loop that we met on trail. Not much shade either. Unfortunately I forgot a hat and it was 95 degrees on the trail. On the upside, the trail itself was easy to hike

Very colorful trail! Not too difficult. Lots of scenery changes: red rocks to white rocks to desert to forest and a lake too! Little bunches of spring wild flowers are starting to crop up. Gorgeous!!

well marked path, went there to hike and ended up getting out of the way of lots of mountain bikers, was some really nice places to see and take pix, but i'm sure I'll be going back to do this soon.

I was expecting a hike and ended up doing nothing more than walking down a wide dirt road. There were some cool things to see, but I wouldn’t go back there unless it was to trail ride or run. Not a good hiking spot.
