The trail itself is very nice, it will take you up and down a lot around the entire red rock area. However, I would recommend mapping it out first or using AllTrails app since the path is poorly marked. We got lost a few time because there are a lot of small side tracks

The trail was pretty easy, I was able to do it in my Chaco sandals. We took our dog and she handled it well also. Very pretty scenes.

Roundup is definitely a great trail that encompasses all Red Rock Open Space has to offer. Beautiful Red Rock spires grace both ends of the trail. Mule Deer, squirrels and various birds are viewed from this trail along with stunning flora of all kinds. Enjoy the pine thickets and traverse the maze of seemingly endless scrubby oak. Easy elevation gains and descents, on this must experience trail.

Got to see a different part of red rocks than usual. Nice jaunt lots of green and not too many people. A little elevation gain but easy for me and my wife carrying a newborn.

June 7, 2020 Sunday. Started about 8:45am and was lucky to get a parking spot as part of the parking lot is closed. Headed up the hill from the parking lot and then over on Round Up and finished with Contemplative. Plenty of shade. Beautiful morning. No wildlife, but the prickly pear cacti are in bloom and gorgeous!

An absolutely gorgeous hike. Lots of flowers were in bloom, which just added to the wonderful views. I completed this with my 7 year old son with no trouble. Some very large groups were there, and their trail etiquette was questionable. Other than that, it was relatively uncrowded in most portions of the trail.

large parts of the trail closed for restoration but still leads to some amazing paths with cool formations to stop and explore. saw less than 5 people in the first hour but hit the crowds once it reconnects with the main trail.
