Still a bit of snow in places with a few route-finding challenges on the north end, but plenty of us packed it down Saturday. A little muddy in a few places, but not like the east side of the park. Not too many people on the trail during the windy and chilly morning at the west trailhead parking lot, and it was a quite moderate and pleasant hike where it's pretty easy to keep the required 6' distance from others here during COVID-19 pandemic.

Quite a muddy mess right now! I'd recommend waiting until it dries out. I'm not a big fan of the trail profile - down on the first half then straight up the second half. That was especially tiring given the slushy and muddy conditions.

3/18 great elevation changes, never too challenging but very muddy in spots. Over all great trail. Arrived at 9am. Plenty of parking. When we finished at 1 the lot was overflowing.

This is a good winter hike. Trail is pretty wide open for most of it. Right now the trail is mostly packed snow. The backside of Rawhide loop is still fairly deep in spots. We were the first to do that part since snow last week and it got up to our knees in several spots. Right now the tracks do not actually follow the trail. Just follow the footprints and you will get where you are going.

Great trail, some inclines but nothing too strenuous. Not too crowded on a beautiful Sunday. Very scenic.

It was nice having the place mostly to ourselves. Nice views and trails with rolling hills. Was icy, no Mountain Bikes and no horses. I've done this all seasons and summer is my least favorite because of heat and crowds.

Hiked this on the morning of 1/5. I didn’t see a single person on the trail, which was wonderful. Most of the trail has ice/snow on it.

Beautiful day on the Rawhide Trail. Sunny and 50°, mostly snow packed teal work some patches of ice, slush and mud. b Microspikes were helpful.

Beautiful trail and beautiful weather today! Much of the trail was either icy or dry with some areas or snow or mud. We used spikes for icy areas. Nice views and nice areas hiking through the trees and rocks.

Excellent conditions for snow shoeing right now! Need them!

Relaxing 5 mile hike. Very quiet and serene out there.

Well marked and maintained trail. Went counterclockwise… mostly dry trail with a handful of muddy/icy spots (extra traction not needed). I’d recommend hiking this clockwise to get the (less exciting) fire road section out of the way first.

Lovely little trail to jaunt through before work tonight. Windy for the first quarter mile or so (and last), but much more pleasant once I was down in the trees. Good, quick exercise and beautifully quiet. Some snow pack/icy spots but nothing treacherous. I really enjoyed the ups and downs throughout the trail, as opposed to your traditional all-the-way-up-then-back-down. Nice area I never even knew existed, too. Close to the city for a quick trip out and back. Will probably do again sometime soon.
