This was only my 3rd 14er, but I was with people with 30 and 40+ under their belt so that helped my nerves a little bit. Steep switchbacks, monster boulder field, 1000 ft incline that will make you calves burn, my favorite part was the final climb to the top. Take your time be extra careful and watch your hand and foot placement, there is a lot of loose rock! Also, watch for the cairns, they are there and they are well placed. Watch for falling rocks! I don't have poles and I think they would have been very useful in a couple areas. This area and hike was absolutely incredible, so beautiful!! BE SAFE my fellow hikers!! FYI 14ers.com is a very helpful tool.
