Fantastic trail with tons of views! Nice river in the beginning if you have a dog. Can be a bit strenuous at times but overall a pretty easy hike. I will note what others have said, the trail is not very well marked at all and we took the wrong turn twice adding .7 more miles on. Just watch for the trail!

What happened to this beautiful little park?! There’s garbage everywhere; on the trails, in the river, parking lots and overflowing garbage bins. It’s so sad and so disgusting!

Wanted to park at Corwina but it was full so we drove up a bit to this area. Not much parking but there are tons of picnic benches and people just hanging out at the creek. Most of the climb is in the 1st mile then flattens out. meets up with a mtn bike path which widens the area. Shade is 50/50.

Dog friendly, moderate workout. I love the creek at the beginning and end.

Pretty good trail conditions. The cutoffs are really quiet. Nice hike overall.

This was a lovely little hike but I won’t pick this trail again. Went on a Thursday morning and plenty of spots left upon arrival at 8:15 am. Upon leaving around 10:30 most of the lot was full but starting to turn over from morning to midday users. There’s a basic outhouse at the parking lot too. Picnic tables closed for quarantine currently. Pros: -well maintained trail -plenty of shade on the path for dogs -an easy moderate trail, kids and dogs could easily do this (the first half mile is the hardest part) -lots of wildflowers and birds -the wooded areas are lovely! Cons: -the second quarter of the trail is right above the road so you get lots of road noise -the middle third is shared with mountain bikers (more than my taste) The final third of the trail, following the Bear Creek Cutoff is really the best part! A narrow path through the woods and flowers all around.

Great beautiful trail with a creek. Not a lot of people out today but there were more bikers on the Bear Creek Trail part of the trail.

Many cars in the parking lot... but not many people on the trail! There is a wonderful creek at the trailhead I saw people enjoying. The hike is through forest, meadows, and rolling hills. Saw more mountain bikers than people on the trail. Not terribly challenging, I’d rate it more as easy.

Great hike in the Forrest. The first part is slightly challenging but the remainder is very easy and beautiful.

Very nice, open trails. Couldn’t get any better than with this weather. Only a few bikes here.

Very nice trail with beautiful views and a river near the trailhead. This would be a beautiful spot to picnic. Perfect amount of incline and many options to mix up the route. Lots of mountain bikers and you have to stop a lot. Not crowded at all we barely saw anyone.

Trail is in great shape and was totally dry. It was pretty crowded, but about a third of them were bikers. It was a toss up if people were wearing masks, but most people were good about giving space to pass.

Had a great time on this trail today. Started on West Ridge Trail, and did the loop counter-clockwise. The first 3/4 mile or so was a fairly decent workout. The trail flattens out after that, and gets real flowy once you hit Bear Creek Trail. Good mixture of forest and meadows, and there is a pleasant stream that follows the trail during the back half. Really pretty trail overall. Good for out-of-towners that are in decent shape, or for locals that want to be outside, but not do anything too strenuous.

Nice, quick hike. My wife, dog and I did this one today - the trail is in decent condition with ice present in some areas, but not throughout. Microspikes would be a nice-to-have, but not necessary.

Good variety of sun/shade/woods/meadows. Besides initial climb (taking the west ridge trail up from the parking lot) the trail is fairly easy/flat. No climactic views but several decent viewpoints and a nice variety of environments (including a river).

Great trail! Spikes and gaiters would have been helpful, but we did just fine without. Parking lot was full, but only passed a few other hikers.
