Beautiful trail with aspens, creek crossings, and downed trees. Has some steep parts with elevation gain. Trecked through snow towards the end of the trail in mid-June — snowshoes or crampons not needed, hiking boots did just fine! The trail stayed fairly visible after skirting around fallen trees and snow piles. Would hike it again later in the summer (maybe late July or August?) to see the lake not surrounded by snow and mud.
