This trail is not closed! We hiked it about two weeks as an overnight with the dog. It was not very crowded and there was a beautiful aspen grove at one point. There is really only water right when you enter Lost Creek Wilderness and at the end of the trail where you can camp for the night. There was a good amount of people camping but there were plenty of spots and we were not near anyone. Great hike! It was a perfect hike for end of May, very warm.
