A multitude of trail combinations that make it very easy to make your ride into an all day affair. This trail has everything from the easy flowy trails to black diamond descents through rock gardens.

Great views, not too challenging. Second hike since moving to Springs and it was perfect for adjusting to the altitude!!

Excellent mountain biking trails; green, blue and black trails.

I went here a couple of weeks ago and you will need directions to find your way around. There is also a inner loop were you can let your doggo off leash so my golden retriever liked that.

Went counterclockwise on the trail doing the steep climb... views from the top were beautiful. I didn't see anything untoward. Just families and dogs and hikers and bikers... it was a beautiful day!

I live right down the road from Palmer Park and love it! the full outerloop trail can be hard to follow, but my fiance, dog and I tend not to mind going off trail, plus its nealy impossible to get lost here. If you are looking for an easy place to go with a dog, lot 18 will take you to a trail where your pup is allowed off leash (If under voice control). Many of the reviews certainly peg this park as dirty or prone to drug and alcohol use which is unfortunate. There are a few spots that appear to have a certain crowd, though they are mostly high schoolers likely trying to find somewhere their parents are not. I would suggest trying the Mesa trail or trails off of the Palmer Park overlook. They are clean and offer beautiful scenery as well as friendly regulars to offer tips!

Awesome trail. Encountered a runner that did not announce his passing, narrow trail so it was a little startling.

Literally the most beautiful... trashy place ever! Everyone in the park was either selling drugs or doing drugs! Where in the hell are the cops or park rangers?!

My dog and I had a great time! It was a little difficult to find and stay to the main trail but the map on here is very helpful.

We loved this little Wilderness in the middle of town. We didn't see litter or trash on the trails near parking area 16 at all.

Not a fan. While beautiful, it may be too convenient and the trails are full of inconsiderate people who like to leave dog poop, cigarette butts, bottles, cans, broken glass and garbage.

Beautiful views. Well-traveled, pretty busy trail. Unfortunately quite a bit of garbage on trail.

I love this area because there are so many trails to find and the dog pad is right there!

Conveniently located and it offers various levels of difficulty

Good run, rocky and watch out for the ice if you're running it during the winter. It is more of a leg workout than a cardio one if you're running on the rocky narrow paths, because you have to slow down and watch your footing.

So convenient. A great hiking area right in the middle of the city. Easy trails to moderate trails. Great views to boot! I've been hiking there for 10 years now.

Visit Palmer Trails for the first time and we like it. Great area to spend a nice day out hiking. The Trails are great to walk and some areas you can climb up within the trail system which give you a little challenge during the hike. The bad thing is the markers and signs throughout the Trails. Some markers were unreadable and some signs did not have the maps.
Other than that it is a great trail system and easy to park and find.

Pretty views!! Wouldnt be hard to get confused where you're at, no markings along the trails and no "specific" place to park/start that I could find! Loved all the scenery though.

It's like a mini mountain in the middle of the city.

Easy to find and follow. Took the kids and we all managed it, youngest is nearly 3. Dogs loved it too. Definitely better to do it anti clockwise and get the climb out of the way at the beginning.

Ok but to me, it was just a dog park.

Its been a while since I road P Park, entered from east side and jumped on the Cheyenne Trail via Kinnickiinnick.
The trail system is in poor condition, looks like the resent rains have taken a toil on them.
Ride with caution, lots of washout and unexpected drops, but was a fantastic morning!

I have lived In CS all my life (61yrs) and have used this little patch of undeveloped land for hiking, horse back riding, picnics and mountain biking.
I add it to my Rock Island loop(mountain biking) and enjoy the fact that it is easy to get to with varying degrees of trail difficulty thru out the park.

Located right in the middle of Co Springs is this fun trail with wonderful views. We made it to the Grandview Overlook which had a great view of Pikes Peak. Some of the trails are not marked very well so we were wandering for awhile. Drawback is vehicle traffic and many hikers. Another good trail that gives another birds eye view of the city and Pikes Peak. Not my favorite trail due to location.
