Great hike. Challenging bit not too hard. We went counterclockwise. Great views and not too many people. Lots of ice on much of the trail so spikes are needed. We used poles coming down as its rather steep

Snowy and a little icy in places but easy even without spikes. You just have to watch where you’re going. Great local hike.

Great trail! Definitely need microspikes right now. The lake is frozen so it’s fun to walk on it. Parking lot near the trailhead is open now but is limited. May have to loop a few times. Definitely worth it!

Went 1/1/21. Trails are icy in some spots — recommend bringing micro spikes. First mile or so was really the only tough part.

12/27/20. The hike was easier hiking up then down. Some parts are very ice, so definitely recommend snow shoes/spikes if you're going. Hiking poles would be helpful too. The views were beautiful. The cold breeze and endless green trees were stunning. Would definitely come back in the spring/summer. happy hiking!

Beautiful scenery, a bit hard at first but after you get past the first quarter it's easier.

The management of this trail system makes me want to throw up, whether it be the town, the sheriffs department, or whoever comes up with the rediculous rules. There are many amazing spur trails and loops up here to explore. I have been hiking up here for over 10 years and a year ago for no apparent reason dogs were banned. Shortly after, due to “construction” it’s all closed. Nope, it’s closed for Covid. A vast trail system where you can easily get about as far as you want away from other people, and the powers at be decided that it should be closed.

this trail and trailhead are still closed. the town website says it's open but there's caution tape and a chained gate that say otherwise.

Very nice trail. Went clockwise and the initial climb is a challenge but worth it to coast your way back and enjoy the views.

Locked up now. Went a few months ago. Nice easy increase in elevation. At the time-parking was a pain. Had to park at school and add another 1/2+ mile to get to trailhead. Great picnic spots along the way.

Great hike for kids. Uphill about 1.5 miles and then you get to the reservoir which is beautiful. No swimming, no dogs. People were fishing though. Great spots for picnics. The parking lot was closed, so I parked at the elementary school. Added a couple of minutes to get to the trail head, but it was fine.
