The ascent to the lake is crowded but luckily the trail connects to a few systems past the reservoir so it's much easier to get some separation. The ascent past the reservoir was delightfully persistent; I never felt a true summit was reached even after 5.5 miles and turned back. It was a pretty intense incline which was great because I mostly saw other people on foot. Definitely would go back to explore the back systems.

Great! Sorta weird when you get to the reservoir. But other wise a great trail for biking.

A decent hike, but the lake itself is beautiful and worth the trip. Definitely look at some more trail options around the lake if your looking for more of a true hike.
