Great trail- well maintained. It’s open as of 7/2/20 (not sure when it was closed). Was a hot day and there are a good amount of non shaded spots but does have some shady areas. Went on a Thursday and was ample parking and not a lot of people put on trails (mostly mountain bikers) - but we only passed 2 people the whole time.

Great easy trail, only had to move over for bikers a handful of times and only a couple muddy spots.

This is a beautiful well kept trail with mild elevation. it is short but a good workout for anyone who needs a half day hike, a bit of practice, and wants to avoid hard work. Crisp blue skies, deer in the hollows, polite cyclists. We got to pl at 930 just in time before it was full.

I enjoyed this trail on a Friday afternoon. Only a few bikes on the trail. I was carrying my daughter in a hiking pack so the trail length was the perfect amount (2.6mi)

Beautiful trail. Feels like you are truly in the mountains without leaving the county. Sadly, no dogs allowed.

A real easy stroll though trees and wildlife. We saw a woodpecker, two young deer and lots of birds. It was hot when we went last week but there was enough shade to make it bearable. We encountered only a few bike riders. Easy to find and park.

My 9 year old and I did this trail today. Very pretty and only saw a few other on the path....Most were mountain bikers. Good amount of shade and pretty easy path. Very little elevation gain. We had a good amount of rain yesterday, so the path was pretty muddy. I think the main drawback for this path would be the amount of rocks on the trail. Extremely rocky. Our highlight of the hike was seeing wild turkeys and a deer!

This trail is great for children. My 3 year old hikes it and saw deer, wild turkey, and a cool old wagon. Fun and easy. Not ideal for a workout unless you’re in a bike.

Tried to hike early March with Scouts. Muddy mess and closed (Boulder County status wasn't updated). Lots of construction / updates on the south end / Canyon access. We ended up hiking Wapiti and other trails nearby. Recommend it in the summer as a good family-friendly loop.

Round 2 snowshoeing with Becca and Graham. Had to break trail for a bit but the only other people on the trail were bikers who helped break trail in parts. Beautiful and only a bit of uphill. Felt mostly flat other than that. Definitely an easy trail.

Beautiful easy hike close to Boulder and other trails in the park. This trail was a more recent addition to the park.

Easily accessible. Had lots of available parking. Very easy & short. Gradual inclines & declines. No mountain biking allowed or horses on this particular section as signs indicate, but some reviews mention they ran in to some. Took about 45 minutes with several stops.

Nice, easy loop trail in the Heil Valley Ranch area. Saw several groups of wild turkey and some mule deer. Also popular with mountain bikers (they are required to go in counter-clockwise direction).
