Grew up hiking these hills. Would suggest early morning or evening jaunts to avoid the heat. It can still get very warm here even though you are in the mountains.

Went early August, late morning. Plenty of parking in two lots - only saw a few people on the trail. Trails are well marked. I took West Ridge Trail to Bear Creek Trail to Bear Creek Cutoff. Was a lovely mix of forest and meadow - lots of beautiful flowers! Saw a stag, two does, and three fawns, as well as lots of birds and smaller critters. West Ridge Trail starts fairly steep, but evens out after half a mile or so. Bear Creek is shared with bikers, but wide enough it's not a problem. You'll hear air and road traffic, especially on the last portion of West Ridge, as it run parallel with Meyers Gulch Road. Had a lovely hike!

The initial ascent is a little strenuous if you're not used to the elevation. But it pretty quickly evens out and the rest of the loop is either flat or downhill. Great little park, wasn't terribly busy, but I could hear traffic from a nearby road for a good portion of the hike. Still, would recommend as a starter hike for anyone who isn't acclimated to hiking in higher elevations.

Nice little hike. Easy to do with kids. Go early. Heavily shared with mountain bikes so you'll have to stop and move a lot - pay attention. Very close to Denver and pretty flowers. Riverside for picnic at trailhead.

It was a nice, quick hike. Mountain bikers were pretty heavy on the trail, but polite. I would suggest a small bell on your backpack though if you’re hiking alone as I just happened to stumble across a pretty big black bear. Luckily it just looked at me and moved up the hill.

Multiple trails to hike at trail head - beautiful and easy hike!

Make sure to check the map often, just hiked the trail and parts of the trail are closed which close the loop so it's easy to think you are headed back to your car yet you are headed away from the parking lot because the path that closes the loop back to the lot is closed. So just be aware and check the map.

Took West ridge to meadow view to bear creek to bear creek cutoff. The trail was pretty snowy, slushy and muddy the whole way from Sunday’s snow but manageable in just hiking boots. Had a little bit of trouble finding the trail at the bear creek/ bear creek cutoff crossing because of the snow coverage it took me a while to realize that the fences were trail crossings. Over all a beautiful trail can’t wait to go back once the snow melts.

Enjoyable hike! Did the West Ridge Trail to Bear Creek trail to Bear creek cut off. I like how you can link trails to make your hike longer or shorter. Very minimal mud and ice today. Nice balance of shade and sun. No big ‘vistas’ but lovely meadow and trees.

A good beginning of season hike. I found it to be busy, but beautiful. I will definitely come back. For those with dogs there is a brief stretch you must share with mountain bikers, not ideal for bikers or dog owners but it's a short stretch. This will definitely go in my early season rotation.

Beautiful hike for the average hiker with a variety of terrain.

The map on All Trails is not correct. The trails have since been re-routed. Check the trail map at the parking lot! Otherwise a great hike.

I hiked the O'Fallon loop and then hiked up to Panorama Point and down the Pano trail. Snowpacked in shady places, but I didn't need any traction devices. Dogs enjoyed it and I only saw one other person the whole hike!

I really enjoyed the various terrain and amazing scenery...a new fave for sure!

This is my go-to hike when I want a montane setting versus the exposure of the foothills. However, just be aware the hike as mapped on All Trails isn’t correct anymore. The park has reconfigured the trails and while there’s still a loop, it’s ~3.5 miles now. Check trailhead for map. If going counter clockwise, West Ridge Trail to Bear Creek Trail to Bear Creek Cutoff. Of course, since the park is connected to Pence & Corwina Parks, it’s easy to add mileage. The Chimney Shelter Trail is a nice short and interesting jaunt if you like that sort of thing.

A nice bit of elevation the first half mile but then it levels out. Great hike with kids/dogs. Parking is limited.

This is a great trail if you just want a quick getaway. We finished the trail in about 90 minutes (we of course had a dog who needed to smell every tree). Our dog also loved jumping in the small creek on the last 1/4 of the trail. Beautiful views. Mountain bikes are allowed on a little bit of it, so the end of the trail was busier than the rest. Close to Denver. Good food nearby in Morrison or Kittredge.

If you're a fan of a simple walk in the woods, this is a good one for exactly that. Wildflowers and firs and pine. After that initial ascent, easy hike throughout.

Not difficult in the least. I encountered a minimal amount of people though, which was nice. I went on a late morning hike on a Wednesday.

This is a nice quiet trail if you get there early , before 9 am. Signage wasn't great for Upper Loop trail but only one or two forks in trail. Nice fishing and picnic area near parking.

Be prepared for a steep incline for the first mile of the trail and a very narrow path throughout. But very quiet, beautiful water at multiple points, and very picturesque!

The trail is closed in some parts. Hard to follow, got lost on multiple off shoot trails. Not great views.

An ok trail that is rather easy after an initial short climb. The highlight is a brief good view of Mount Evans while the lowlight is the trail goes right behind some houses.
