North Shield Pond Trail is a 1.6 mile moderately trafficked loop trail located near Fort Collins, Colorado that features beautiful wild flowers and is good for all skill levels. The trail offers a number of activity options and is best used from March until October. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.

Great for a quick jaunt and for wildlife. You get the usual woodlands birds plus a few water birds.

Easy near town walk. Some great bank-side river views. Large fish in places that were feeding on top. Parts more like a dirt road than a trail. Ok for a quick run or short conversation.
