This route requires navigation skills and some route finding. Not for the faint of heart. It is recommended that you get dropped off and picked up, or have an extra vehicle at the parking lot on the Monument. There is a small pullout off of Little Park Road where there is enough room for several vehicles. After parking, walk to the southeast and you will see a trail sign for No Thoroughfare Canyon. Enter there and follow the trail down into the canyon. Trail is not well marked and not heavily traveled, so be sure to bring a map and compass. You do not want to get lost. Most of the trail seems like a game trail and grown over in sections. Keep a keen eye on your surroundings and focused on your waypoints. After navigating through the canyon, you will come to the top of the second waterfall. There you will descend on the north side and join with the original No Thoroughfare Canyon trail.
