Music Pass via Rainbow Trail No. 1336 is a 7.9 mile out and back trail located near Crestone, Colorado that features a river and is rated as moderate. The trail is primarily used for hiking.
Didn’t get to see the lake unfortunately because the directions from the app took us to a completely off-track access road. About an hour of driving on a single lane dirt road took us to a trail head. Many deer along the trail as well as hunters. Went 14 miles out & back from the ‘parking space’ to the music pass parking lot that begins the ascent to the trail which is displayed for this hike. You can drive up the road (no idea what it’s called since we didn’t take that route) until you reach the music pass parking space but you will need a serious off-road vehicle, even saw some big trucks scrape bottom going down the hill. The hike we did was very challenging/difficult. Not many rewarding views but we did our best to enjoy the experience anyway. Definitely recommend looking into the other access points as this one was not sufficient! Hope this review helps some Colorado visitors navigate the terrain a little better than we did!
