Nice mellow route up Mt Sanitas. Longer and not nearly as steep as the Sanitas Ridge route. Popular with runners.

Lions lair was a fun and new way up to the top of sanitas than we’d done before. Easier elevation but longer distance up in the trees then to a nice open hillside with great views and right up to sanitas at the top. Fun jog down! Wish they allowed dogs on this one

Very pleased with this trail. It’s a giant tree-dotted, green meadow slope to the back side of the peak. We plodded along with our 6 year old (who doesn’t yet like hiking) and so our pace slowed to 1 mph instead of the adult-mountain-hiking 2mph. Lots of great views to both sides, like everyone says. I counted—for a perfect weather , Friday afternoon in the summer, we were only 23 people on the trail in about three hours. Very pleasant!
