We got to hike this fun little trail on the first snow day of the year! It was green when we showed up and white when we left - beautiful both ways and not too challenging at all for us beginners!

Perfect after work hike — so close, so short, yet a serious challenge since it’s so steep. 2.8 miles Rt from Centennial parking lot across street in 1:30, including 10 minutes on top admiring the amazing views of Boulder valley. Definitely my wife’s and my favorite in-town hike. This is what living in Colorado is all about.

Steep and rocky but beautiful. Didn’t make it to the top since we got a late start and it was too hot.

It’s a hike. If you’re not from CO or acclimated to the altitude it’s work. That being said it’s a well maintained trail, hikers are nice and friendly.

HikingGreat!

I think Mount Sanitas is the first mountain I've ever summited. Not too hard, but it gets me excited for the challenges ahead. This was a great first solo hike with a rewarding view at the top.

Great incline and descent with a good mix of stairs/steps and rocky patches. Not too tough either way. I saw and heard bird wildlife (including a woodpecker in action) throughout the trail. It’s got a mix of tree cover and open spaces, and fortunately there was a little bit of cloud cover and decent westward breeze. A good challenge for the distance since I worked up a sweat in 1.5 hours.

Pretty steep trail all the way to the peak - which is well worth the hike. Docked one star due to most of the trail being nearby a busy road, so it didn’t feel like I was too far away from the city. Plenty of cool spots along the trail to climb up and get a better view. I recommend taking the East Ridge Trail on the way back down for different scenery as well as some shade in the late afternoon!

Beautiful views! Definitely a moderate-difficult hike due to elevation gain - nearly +1,300 ft in 1.2 miles. Go early because it gets hot! Parking is easy but I got there at 7:15AM. Very rocky. Took the East Ridge to Valley trails down instead of out and backing.

Great work out! Bring water, decent elevation gain, wear sunscreen because it's mostly uncovered. Wouldn't recommend bringing your dog in summer time unless you go early enough. HOT. Beautiful views!!
