Beautiful hike with great views of Golden, Coors Plant and Denver. Great rock formations and lots of animal trails. Take a lunch and have a picnic.

There were icy patches but nothing you can’t do in regular hiking boots without crampons. Lots of kids and dogs on the trail. Also don’t park on the road we got a $25 ticket.

Icy trail this time of the year. Parking is limited. Nice views, a lot of foot traffic with people so you aren't too remote if anything happens. Only two areas with big rocks that were a bit confusing to navigate to make sure you were in trail but it wasn't too hard to stay on the path.

Hiked the path with my dog dec 30. Beautiful hike but definitely screwed up leaving my Yak Tracks at home. Lots of ice on portions of the trail.

Loved this front range hike! The trails are great but ice was becoming an issue, especially for the way down. Can’t wait to do it again, but for sure bringing crampons for the decent.

good workout, decent trail, but definitely not an escape from people. So many people. and dogs

Favorite close to home go to hike.

Pretty rocky through the loop. Cedar Gulch trail wasn't too terribly rocky. Took the kids up and they made it through just fine. It was kinda long for them but, worth the incredible views of Golden and Denver!

Nice trail with great views into the mountains and over the city. can be busy, with lots of families and dogs.

For Mid November there were a few tricky spots with snowpack. Micro spikes would have been good but not necessary yet. Good views of the city. Definitely a moderate.

This is a great trail. We did encounter intermittent ice with three of my party falling. Come prepared with hiking poles or yak tracks.

No shade on this trail, so be prepared with a hat and sunscreen and water. Parking is minimal at trailhead. Nice views of Denver if you’re looking to do a day hike close to the city. Moderate intensity, parts of high inclinations but otherwise manageable. Because of the distance to the city, trail will be crowded!

Nice trail with lots of sun. Was pretty crowded on the weekend, but there were some parts where you were able sit alone. Bring water!

Very sunny trail. Not much shade so be prepared. High traffic on Sunday. Beautiful views May be best for early morning or late afternoon as the high sun beats down and washes out the landscape. Not difficult with a few areas of moderate rock climbs. Very well maintained trail.

Great trail. Not overly crowded. I would highly recommend starting clockwise, or to the left, as the right side of the loop is shaded and i was able to cool off and enjoy the view more after hiking the sun exposed part of the trail. Lots of wildflowers and great views along the way!
