The sheer walls and extreme narrowness of the Black Canyon are appreciated along this trail as well as views from the base of the Morrow Point Dam. A footbridge over Crystal Reservoir provides access to the north shore of the reservoir, to which this trail follows.

This trail is beautiful. The surface has some areas of loose gravel & would have been easier with hiking sticks (which I did not take!). Very beautiful hike with shady spots & occasional nice spray or breezes from the river. No waterfalls due to drought- definitely great short hike!

Beautiful, nicely maintained trail just above the river. There was only a little shade, so morning and evening is best. The pup found a couple swimming spots in the ice cold water. Awesome view of the rocks and the dam!

Not many people but it does get hot. The river didn’t seem to cool it down at all.

Great Hike for Families or Someone just looking for a nice trail to dip their toes into mountain hiking. The Trail is extremely clean and well kept with lots of opportunities for great photos of the Canyon and Morrow Point Dam, as well as a nice waterfall if you take a short detour to your Right when the trail forks a little ways in.

Great easy trail with lots of amazing views. Tiny waterfalls flowing well at Mesa Creek. For Saturday, was surprised to only see a few other people. Would be a good hike for families with kids.

Beautiful fall colors, well kept trail. My 6 yr old did this with ease. The river is really low but still amazing scenery. Restrooms at the top. Well marked and easy to find. There are a few access spots to get to the water. We only saw 3 fisherman the entire time.

Neat little trail that follows the river. Careful you don’t fall in!

Nice easy trail with view of water most of the way. Lots of spots to hang by the water. There's one picnic table right off the trail. Its been dry, so no waterfall.

Beautiful trail! Gorgeous views of the black canyon. A little uneven but nice and short and easy, appropriate for almost anyone. One of my favorite hikes. We did it about 1.5 hours before dusk and were the only people on the trail. It was great. Our dog was also a big fan.

Beautiful views. Make sure to take a right at the first Y on the trail. It will take you back to a hidden waterfall!

Very nice trail for an easy and quick hike. Lovely views in all directions. Dog friendly (just keep them on leash, as the trails become very narrow in spots) with plenty of areas to let your dog get their paws wet and take a dip.
