Beautiful views the entire way up. Pretty snowy starting about 1.5 miles in - got by with YakTracks but could have used snowshoes in parts.

Rain, sunshine and a rainbow! Hiked to cabin from trailhead. Stunning views and the trees are in their glory. The colors are brilliant!

Really good hike for beginners! Good exercise for your butt.... I will do it again! Since most of the trail it's wide and open bring and use sunscreen lotion

Nice hike. When I did it the trail was more like a stream until halfway up when it became solid snow. Snowshoes still weren't necessary since the snow was pretty well packed. Some nice views

Not much traffic on the ATV portion of the trail, which was nice. Bear to the right when you reach the fork. Beautiful mountain meadow scenery with big, sweeping switchbacks near the top. It was great to reach the line shack at the end. The shack is in great shape and has cooking utensils as well as one bunk with a pad; windows on the south and west sides and a nice little covered porch. I will take a whisk broom and leave it there next time I visit. Small pond nearby was very peaceful with a duck family swimming on it. It was a pretty trying hike for my first time out this season.

Great in June since the weather is cool. This trail gets lots of sun. Flowers are abundant in later June. Saw deer. It's really 4.5 miles one way with a 2,006 ft elevation gain. Beautiful views of Gore Range. Get to cabin. Nice picnic spot.

Great trail but not well marked once you leave the parking lot. It is easy to continue on after the trail ems. We ended up hiking 9.5 miles round trip. Beautiful views though and we only saw the people on the trail

if there is confusion about this/these trails it is because they all share common terrain?? Grouse Creek/Lake and Meadow Mountain connect... very beautiful, saw an eagle hunting, lots of deer tracks, gorgeous aspen colors

This is a great bike ride in the fall as the Aspens are turning. It's a long slog up a dirt road, then off to sweet single track through the Aspens down to the highway.
