Really good hike for beginners! Good exercise for your butt.... I will do it again! Since most of the trail it's wide and open bring and use sunscreen lotion

Great hike! Saw a fox and grouse on the way up, and turkeys on the way down. The view really opens up if you go a little bit above the line shack. Snowshoes not really necessary at this point, but there is still 4-6+ inches of slushy snowpack on the upper half of the trail, so tall hiking boots and Yaktrax will make the hike to the top a little more efficient.

Nice hike. When I did it the trail was more like a stream until halfway up when it became solid snow. Snowshoes still weren't necessary since the snow was pretty well packed. Some nice views
