spent 4 hours w/my pup off leash snowshoeing this expansive, gorgeous mountain on sunday. picture perfect day of sunshine and warm temps. very few people when we began at 9a and many more tele skiers & snowshoers and a few snowmobiles towards the end of our journey. the trail just keeps going and it was incredibly peaceful. easy to navigate, plenty of parking-we will return soon.

Great trail for winter hiking/snowshoeing. Very docile; not technical at all. I am a beginner snowshoer, and this trail was great to get going! Took me about an hour and 45 minutes to get from trailhead to get to the top, but beautiful conditions made it seem just wonderful! Lots of cross country skiers, dogs, and only a few snowmobilers.

This is an awesome Mountain. Some routes steeper than others. Beautiful day and great workout. Make sure to make it to the Line Shack. It’s an old cabin. Beautiful views, awesome people to meet.

Snow mobiles! Ugh. I had not anticipated them and was disappointed to see them. Glad I was up and out early and only saw them on my way down.

Did lower 2 miles through mostly meadow and aspen groves. Easy trail at this point that is mostly an old road. Great meadow and mountain views with some abandoned ranch structures.

Took the route from meadow mountain trail to line shack then whiskey creek to everkrisp. About 11miles and over 2400ft gain. Long loop variable terrain. Lots of wild flowers and weed growth.

We woke up early and started on the trail at 6am. Dry due to sunny couple of days. Great views and gradual incline which made it a nice morning walk. We did 1hr up and didn’t make it out and back...we had just wanted to do a 2hr round trip.

Great hike. Perfect gradual trail for different levels of hikers wearing tennis shoes.

Nice, relatively easy incline that switchbacks up and into the mountain. overlooks large swaths of meadow. Unfortunately, I hiked it about 1-2 weeks before the meadow was in full bloom, but still very pretty nonetheless. The views are nice so long as you're ok with the road and a building or 2 being in most of them.

Beautiful hike that is a gradual incline the whole way up. The majority of the start is fully exposed in the sun, but you enter some aspen forests as you continue climbing to the shack at the top. The views of the Gore range are beautiful. We experienced multiple seasons with a thunder storm up top, a little bit of hail, then some summer warmth. Muddy but no snow! We connected the Meadow Mountain trail to Whiskey Creek (just opened 6/20) that ended up at the old Battle Mountain School in eagle vail. Total with connection was 9.02 miles. If you have a dog, there are runoff streams almost the entire way for water.

Had a great time but the rain and kids limits prevented us from completing the hike. It was pretty wet but doable with good hiking shoes.

Hiked this on 6/14. We literally experienced all four seasons on this hike! Nice, wide trail allowing side by side hiking. Steady incline the entire way with beautiful meadows as you enjoy the breathtaking views all around you. There were some muddy patches at the top but easy to avoid. Some snow at the top as well. An adorable little shelter that is well maintained greets you at the top. As we descended, a storm blew over us and it was hailing! A wonderful day as our family clocked in at 10.1 miles from the parking lot.

We took this on 6/8. Beautiful trail. Only small patches of snow. We could easily reach the shelter. Views are so worth it!!! There are a few short cuts. I think we did it in about 8 miles. Views almost all the way up and back are amazing!!!

Didn’t think it’d be anything special but luckily we had our snowshoes and made it to the little hut at the top. The views were stunning. Wide open expanse was something I haven’t seen before. You do need show shoes about 2.5 miles in as of 5/12/19

there is quite a bit of snow still. Snow starts at around halfway up the climb. postholed up to the knee in a couple spots. Great views up top. and a couple of options long the way to extend your walk.

Lots of snow up there still. We did the whole thing in snow shoes, part of it we needed them for and part of them we could’ve gotten away with Yaktrax or something similar. Right now you more or less follow snowmobile trails up along the route, but sometimes the snowmobile paths veer off the trail route so keep an eye on your map if you care to follow the trail more closely. Certain areas, especially in the beginning, have been so skied and snowmobiled out that it’s hard to tell where the trail goes. But overall a great hike — challenging but not too strenuous. And the little hut at the top makes for a great place to rest before trekking back down.
