Parking for this trailhead is hard to locate. You can park on Depot street between 2nd and 3rd avenues. This trailhead and the Meadowlark trailhead are right there. There is no parking lot.

Good trail was hard to find the trail head with all the construction.

We had difficulty finding the trail head because the coordinates didn't take us directly to the trail head. We liked the beginning where there was a nice view of the mountains and some trees. But after we passed the trees the landscape changed to be dry desert looking and the hills were too high to have a view of the mountains. We also had to walk passed someone's trashy yard that smelled bad and was full of trailers and a sad black horse stuck between the trashy area.

I really liked this trail, as the path is clear, the hills are gentle, and the views are great. It can be a bit of an eye-opener running among cows and prairie dogs right off the trail, but once you get used to them, it's pretty cool.

Working in Denver a few years back and this little walk was close to my motel. A lot of birds and assorted waterfowl around.
