Nature tripsGreat!

Mad respect for this trail! So much history is located here, and we were in true admiration of the old mines still standing. A MUST SEE in Colorado! Loved it, even in the snow where we saw plenty of moose tracks :)

Absolutely breathtaking. So far my favorite trail. My advice, it gets super complicated once you reach Mayflower lake, so be careful if you go further. It was getting dark out so we decided to stop here.

Gorgeous with fresh powder and sunshine! Microspikes were perfect - went to the second lake. About 6-12” of snow.

Went on 11/7, some snow and ice going up but never felt like I needed more than my boots. This is a good hike! Challenging but not too difficult. Definitely would do again

Icy in many areas right now. Took the regular trail up to Mayflower Lake then the service road down since the sun was going down. Fun hike and fair amount of people for a weekday

Great hike! Definitely an advanced terrain at some parts but enjoyed the scenes as I went further. Friendly people not too crowded and amazing little grey birds that follow along and sit in your hand! Overall had a great experience and will probably go again.

Nice trail, but the conditions were not the best today. Icy and slick in many spots. The trail is well marked up until the last portion, and then it’s incredibly confusing to follow. The posted distance on this site is also inaccurate. It’s closer to 8 miles round trip, not 5.6.

Great hike. The snow made it look so beautiful. Hiked yesterday. It was a bit windy at times. Many people on the trail. Was icy in some spots so Microspikes were super helpful. I would definitely hike this trail again

Great hike! We hiked 10/29, it was pretty covered in snow, but still doable. We got to the top lake and stood on the frozen lake, it was magical!

Great Hike up to Lower Mohawk today. The snow made it a bit challenging as it melted some in the midday sun, and started to re-freeze as the sun set making the decent from Mohawk a little slick. The tracks in the snow from other hikers made it easier to follow the trail up to Lower Mohawk from Mayflower. Beautiful views at the top and overall a great day full of sunshine and no wind. A real treat for an Ohio guy looking soak in the majesty of Colorado.
