Lower Silver Cascade Falls Trail is a recently built trail that follows the creek up to the base of the Cascade Falls. After a quarter mile, this trail officially ends at a beautiful 20 foot tall waterfall and large resting area. Advancing on the unofficial trail passed the waterfall requires a high level of difficulty and scrambling and is not recommended due the danger of falling on the slick rock. This off trail path leads directly to the end of the Upper Silver Cascade Falls Trail overlook.

One waterfall right when you pull up. This is the biggest of them all! You can hike to the top where there is multiple scenic stops to take a break. Beautiful overlook at the top with a small waterfall. We were here in July!

My 3 year old daughter and 5 month pregnant wife did this fun trail and we saw the enormous frozen waterfall. Pretty incredible. I came back later trail running and advanced up the off trail location. (see uploaded recording). Off trail leads to an overlook and also to the end of the upper silver cascade falls cemented overlook. I do not recommend exploring off trail due to steepness and wet conditions from the waterfall.
