Beautiful hike, short and sweet on a chilly and windy afternoon!
It was a good trail. The beginning had a little more incline than I was expecting. Nice easy walk after that.
Great for kids. No signs so use the app, free parking lot just down the hill from the trail head. don’t stay on the trail, go exploring. We went around the back side of the lake, Took off down the hill following the lake outlet, then followed the stream. Was a lot of fun, beautiful and the kids had a great time exploring and adventuring.
First part up was on sidewalk so I’m not sure if we took the wrong path. Once we got up to the top though it was awesome! Luka loved the water!
Trail was a little hard to follow no clear marks thanks to All Trails App we were able to stay on course. it was beautiful and my dogs loved it!
Good little trail to take your dog on a hike. Relatively steep for the first .5 mile or so, but very easy overall. It basically weaves in and out of a ski complex/neighborhood, so not a whole lot of “escape” from civilization on this hike. Just one lake to see that was pretty crowded with ski-tourists and families fishing. Great if you have a dog, but pretty uneventful relative to most hikes in CO.
This was a good easy trail. Don’t be afraid to use your gps and wander. Otherwise you’re pretty much stuck around other people, roads and buildings. If you wander off though you can find some peace and nice views.
