lovely hike for this time of year. nice and cool the whole way, a lot of shade, some more challenging uphills but nothing too crazy. beautiful lakes!

HikingGreat!

Trail is in great shape A little dry but still a nice relief from the heat in the valley Watched a young gentleman land a decent size fish up at the lake Best to get an early start if you want some solitude on the hike

Beautiful hike next to a beautiful lake. Winds up the mountainside to another lake and then finally reaching lost lake. It is a small crescent shaped lake surrounded by rocks and has the most beautiful emerald green color to the lake. A definite must see.

This is a great trail for a moderate hike. The easy rating is slightly off as there is some climbing rockier switchbacks in two places, just before the second and third lakes, which are a little demanding if you're not used to the altitude but they don't last too long maybe 10-15 minutes each. Besides that it's easy flat trail along the lakes, some rocky parts though so I'd recommend hiking shoes / trail runners if you have them but sneakers would do the job if you don't. No edges though, all wooded in and shaded with soft pine flooring and that incredible fresh pine smell. Tons of mosquitoes that are not afraid to nibble at your shoulders even while moving, so don't forget your bug spray like I did - oops. Water temp was just warm enough for a shoreline dip, but icy cold 5-10 yards in. Really beautiful and relative privacy with most tourists at the park centered around the main lake by the entrance and cabin rental areas, at least on my trip. The whole time I saw just one other couple a few hundred yards ahead doing the hike at the same time as me and a few fishermen at the various lakes, which was nice to feel safer hiking alone but also still keep that great seclusion in the woods feeling. Two thumbs up will surely be back. Heads up that signage is non-existent and no cell service up there to use the app so know where you're going ahead of time. There was no sign for Lost Lake driving in -- park in the Glacier Springs TH lot and walk right of the lot lake, past the washed out sign kiosk and then you hit Lost Lake TH about 5-10 minutes in. Once you're back down the switchbacks again on your return and you hit the lot lake again bear right to finish the big loop around the lake. To return to the parking lot once you near the end of the final loop you will see a little parking lot and outhouse-- don't bear right onto the small trail but keep left past the outhouse and you'll be back at the Glacier Springs lot in about 10-15 minutes from there.

A great hike even in a misty rain! The water in the lake was a beautiful shade of blue, almost like a glacial lake. Don’t get fooled and stop your hike at the lakes along the way. Keep going to the end of the trail. It’s worth the last climb!

There is about 3 ft to 6 ft of snow in certain areas which made it really hard!! Snowshoes required!! One of the lakes has a lot of mosquitoes, repellent required. The last portion is was unclear where the trail was because the one we took was very steep.

The trail still has a substantial amount of snow I wouldn’t recommend without proper gear

Not sure why the location is given as River Bend Park, as that is in Palisade. Lost Lake trail is up on the Grand Mesa near Mesa Lakes. Very pretty hike, which I rate as Easy, shady and best traveled weekdays. Bug spray needed, bring camera!

Nice little hike. The mosquitos were out in full force though. Waded into the lake at the end to cool off a bit. We ended parking near the shoreline trail because parking wasn’t clear for this trail, then walked over to meet up with Lost Lake trail. Overall enjoyable!
