Great leg/butt workout if you go up Mount Sanitas first and come down Lion’s Lair. Tons of Stellar Jays and Woodpeckers and beautiful views!

Fun evening climb. Easy trail, but stayed out until around 8pm, and it was pitch black. Make sure to have a head lamp!

A great trail with steady but not challenging vertical gain. Add the .6 link on for a six mile (by my gps) round trip. To do that, park exactly 1.1 miles past the Centennial parking area. There is a shoulder on the right that accommodates about five cars. There are steps to the trail. No dogs allowed. Watch out for cyclists on this narrow road, especially on weekends.

We hiked Lion's Lair on 9/18/2018. Somewhat short hike that is generally shaded, but does not block most of the views. The top is especially a good spot to have a snack and enjoy the view of Boulder and the surrounding area. By the way, none of this hike is near the highway. That area is part of the Mount Sanitas Trail - Lion's Lair Trail Loop.

Great trail. Lots of shade and switch backs. Kind of busy... arrived around 9 on Tuesday AM. Nice views. Saw a couple of mule deer.

Good hike, easy for this pregnant lady. Lots of shade. It was super busy, but it’s a Sunday so the top had beautiful views...despite the fires...however it was insanely packed and apparently 3 trails meet up there.

Great climatizing trail. We went here on our first full day in Colorado, because we wanted to play it safe in the higher altitudes and heat. We picked this trail for its shadier and easier paths. We arrived at 745 am and didn’t feel it was too crowded.

Easy switchback trail, lots of shade. Would be nice views but due to the fires it was hazy in the distance.
