Got there around 7am and got parking right up front - mainly trail runners. Very well groomed trail. It’s quick and some nice views - we are more on the relax and wander side of hiking and this trail is definitely meant for just a quick workout. Lots of pinecones if you’re into that sort of thing...

Ten am about 20 cars and a ton of people at the spur. Three cars lower entrance. We usually walk Sunshine trail up. way too crowded

Hikes this on Friday 5/29 midday. Great trail. Doable yet good incline at some points for a good workout. Great view at the top of Mt Sanitas and plenty of areas around with big rocks to have lunch or take a break. Trail is packed in dirt, no snow and good for hiking or trail running!

Lovely at this hour, and very quiet. I love this way up to Sanitas.

The weather was perfect today, and they were very few people on the trail. It was lovely. This is one of my favorites again and again and again!

Great shaded trail, not too technical or rocky so fairly easy to run. Very limited parking so get there early.

This is my favorite trail so far. It’s close to town, can easily be done before work, it’s quiet - and seems so magical. I love this trail

Absolutely beautiful views of the city and mountains! Great hike with several switch backs and very well kept trail. Definitely recommend!

Beautiful trail! Started on the mount Sanitas trail and then to Lions Lair. Mount Sanitas trail was busy but Lions Lair was pretty empty. Either trail will loop you back to the parking lot with options to connect with other trails along the way

I thought this was a great trail. Perfect length and incline for a last minute day hike. I went at around 3:30 and the trail was moderately busy. It got really windy up toward the top, but there are plenty of trees to block some of the wind. Otherwise, the weather was pretty perfect for this trail. I also noted that almost all of the people on the trail were really respectful, wore masks, and practiced social distancing.

Great weather right now for this trail. Half shade, half sun. Personally would rate as easy, but either way nice hike with a few good viewing spots on the way up.

050220: A great hike just a few miles away from most of the more crowded trails outside of Boulder. A very well maintained trail, wasn't too busy - maybe 20 total other hikers - (most were joggers actually) - all but 3 wore masks. Lots of trees, new and some very old cool twisted dead ones. The incline is steady but it is pretty evened out so no really steep parts. We didn't see the view everyone else has posted about as we had a misty, foggy, low cloud day - but still a nice little hike, very enjoyable!

Super trail, a lot of shade, meadow 1/4 way in and great views at top. This is a really good easy/moderate hike, especially if you have a friend in boulder/denver from out of town.

Gorgeous trail that is very moderate.

Trail ends at mount Sanitas. Definitely a Pretty trail! Comparing this trail to the Mount sanitas trail: mount sanitas is a little steeper but it’s a shorter hike; this trail is a longer hike with a more gradual climb. Still both great views! Only negative to this trail is, that no dogs allowed vs mount sanitas trail, dogs are allowed! But overall, good trail!

First time I’ve done this trail, but will definitely hike again. Most of the trail is packed sand and much goes through heavily wooded area so will be nice as the weather gets warmer. Difficult at times to find a good step off spot as people approached, but that won’t be an issue after “current conditions”.

The trail is super easy and we'll maintained. No ice or snow and just a small section of mud. Quite a few people even though I got here at 815 am but everyone was respectful of space. Lots of new looms and a family of deer. Highly recommend this trail.

All uphill to the top of Mt Sanitas. Big boulders and steps/kind of a scramble, but fun/challenging. Good amount of people on the trail today, but most good with the distancing. Looped around and down toward the road and the way back to the trail head is parallel to the road, so not very quiet. Great views of Boulder and the surrounding mountains overall!

Pretty crowded and not a lot of parking, but if you get there early you should find yourself in luck! Trail was super nice, no loose rocks or tree stumps to worry about. Nice view of boulder, the flatirons, and the mountains out west at the top!

Nice and dry , mostly shaded , I would say this is on the easier than moderate side , you don’t really feel the incline since it winds up and it’s great that there’s much less traffic than other connecting trails , def recommend.

An excellent local hike and a great bit less excruciating than the Mount Sanitas counterpart. At this point, all snow has dispersed from the trail itself. The only drawback is that it was quite busy (Sunday during social distancing).

I love this trail every time. It is just so winding, so serene and so beautiful! It was quiet today, which was great. I will repeat this trail again and again!
