Started around 11 finished around two I did not park at the bottom of the road I followed another users note and came up the road to the trail head to park. Did not see a single person beautifully quiet one - inch of fresh snow. Looped around at the lake due to the snow drifts and 125 cm of snow I went directly across where it was predictable. This is definitely a snowshoe or backcountry ski but when you get around the loop it gets a little tight for skis in the snow - shoes came in handy.

There’s not actually a trail around the lake. I cut across to meet where the line shows as if there’s a trail and there wasn’t one. I had to bushwhack to get back to the supposed loop trail. Maybe there was one before but no evidence of one now. There are even signs that say to loop but there’s no loop.

Very nice trail once you leave the road. You would be better served to park were the trail leaves the road, about a mile up. Do the loop and hike a bit on the Colorado Trail.
