An easy trail that we have hike 4 of the last 5 years I've been to RMNP. it has a hidden gem. If you follow the entrance to the upper trail that is on the west end of the lake you will come to a fork about 100 yards in. Follow the rope to your left and it will take you to a nice overlook of the east end of Moraine Park. This side trip is well traveled and short, not not shown on maps.

If you're looking for a quick easy stroll with some GREAT photo opportunities, this one's for you. I did the lake and the ridge, well worth it.

The loop trail around Lily Lake is flat and easy to follow, making it a great choice for folks who don't have the time or physical ability to take on RMNP's tougher trails. Lily Lake is gorgeous, especially when surrounded by wildflowers in the summer.

So I came to visit the area in late June. I was actually married here at the picnic area in 2015. This lake will always have that memory.
