Lakeshore Perimeter Trail is a 5.5 mile moderately trafficked loop trail located near Frisco, Colorado that features a lake and is good for all skill levels. Pretty easy trail along lake. This was my first ever hike after a snow - ever! So I found it easy and beautiful but still a good workout. ... Definitely need waterproof boots and boot chains.... at least that’s what I used to complete it. It’s hard to know how to follow trail due to snow cover .. but this app kept me on point any time I drifted off course.
I'm not sure why this is rated as Moderate; it's definitely Easy. There's barely any elevation and it's not super long either. I went trail running, and the terrain was pretty interesting; it went next to the beach for a bit so there was sand, and then it went into the trees next to the water. Then it went uphill at the end and down back through the recreation area. It was a pretty enjoyable run, although the path was a bit confusing in the beginning from the parking lot. Would recommend it though! Beware of bikers coming in the opposite direction though.
Easy, fun trail. Super windy today. Would be really nice on a less windy day! We would do it again.
Aspen leaves were perfect! We were wishing we brought our bikes along as it seemed like it was primarily a bike trail.
nice hike with great views of the lake. not a lot of people on the trail.
Easy with quite a few bikers. Great views of Lake Dillon. This is a nice hike if you want something close to town.
Go clockwise from Nordic center. The end by highway 9 is boring. But the rest of the trail well worth it
Most of this trail is amazing and secluded with plenty of empty beaches for dogs to get cool off. We went clockwise from the Frisco Nordic Center trailhead and loved the first 5 miles, but the end of the All Trails map sends you to the Buzz Saw Trail and the Rec Path...wish we had stayed on Perimeter the entire time! I'm looking at other people's recordings now...some of them stayed on Perimeter until they turned right at the Rec. Path. That approach avoids getting close to Highway 9. We'll do it that way next time!
