Short and flat loop around Lake Mary in Rocky Mountain Arsenal National Wildlife Refuge. A number of benches and boardwalks provide opportunity to see birds and wildlife around the lake and in the surrounding marshes. Excellent spot for birding.

My husband and I completed this hike on April 7.

This is a flat, quick trail around a duck pond, essentially. It was fun to be near the water and check out the wildlife. Most interesting part is the bridge where you cross the water for a couple hundred feet! Easy, short hike that would be enjoyable for kids or seniors.

Really nice walking trail around the lake and through the marshes almost at water level. Saw bison, deer, rabbits, prairie dogs, owl, herons, egrets, woodpeckers, and lots more.
