Very busy trail. Lots of people with no masks. Narrow trail, so no way to ‘socially distant’ either.

Pretty basic hike, didn’t offer panoramic views as such. Kid and pet friendly except a few rock scrambles.

It was a good trail. Cost $9 to enter the park. I recommend going AS SOON AS IT OPENS! (Which is 8:00 am) We showed up at 8:35 and we waited in line for almost 30 minutes. The trail itself isn’t terrible. The way back to the parking lot was a little steep but not too bad.

Too busy on a Saturday afternoon to get all that you can from this park. Little caves along the stream to look at.

Got to the trail at about 9 o’clock on a Wednesday and there was maybe 20 other people in the parking lot. I finished about 12 and the parking lot was about 3/4 of the ya full and the trail got much busier. It’s a good hike for younger kids because they can play in the water and you could cut the hike in half if you needed too.

Nice little loop, some rocks to climb over but not too strenuous. Many places where passing others on this heavily travelled trail can’t be done with 3-6 foot social distancing so bring a mask if you feel you need one. Most people were very respectful of others and distancing but also noticed a couple of large groups, including one group with 20-25 people (currently groups should be no more than 10 people under Safer At Home order) by the long bridge on narrow paths near the entrance.

so much fun! not stroller friendly, but we managed to make it through with hubby carrying the bob dualy much of the way.

Cool place to get out to and do a little bit of exploring. Wasn’t too crowded when I got there around 1 PM. Seeing the broken down dam was interesting. Would recommend if you are looking into doing something that isn’t too crazy. Spent about 90 mins out there.

easy trail, a little muddy right now and connects to the dam trail. there's no shade so be aware as the temps get warmer. beautiful views

We’ve done this easier hike several times, we love it! It definitely has a muddy section, but the majority of it is clear. The restrooms were closed, also at the gas station in Franktown (not open to public). Just FYI!

Loved this trail! The only semi-difficult parts were crossing the river on some boulders, & the steep part that’s icy. Should be better in summer!

Hiked this on Tuesday, at the time there was not a ton of mud or snow. Some nice views of the park, the damn and the stream. Pretty easy in terms of elevation gains. With it being about a 6mi hike it deserves a soft moderate rating. We did run into a few more people than I would’ve liked and of course with the park fee I’d give it 4 stars.

Good hike with my family. Beautiful stream and boulders in the canyon. A little icy/muddy at the end but the majority of the trail was clear and dry.

a nice walk with my pup...a little muddy at the end but otherwise it was perfect! I wish I could have done the loop but you have to cross water on some big boulders and I am not that graceful lol! we passed a few groups and lots of dogs but not too busy before noon and lots of room to pass.

Aloha inter webs, This was a fun hike lots of families and dogs on the trail. It had just snowed so even though the sun was out today their were many muddy and icy areas. The stairs to get back up to the parking lot were almost completely iced over and proved quite the challenge for those of us without spikes on. #letsgoforawalk

Very few people. Icy, but traction not necessary. Great time of year for this trail.
