This is nice but not the entire trail is dog friendly so be careful if you’re bringing your pup. Also a lot of the trail is next to the road.

Beautiful walking paved path around Estes Lake. Beautiful scenery on a clear day. Unfortunately it was cloudy on the day I went. Halfway through finished up and rain.

My husband and I came on Sunday, May 17, 2020. Moderate trail traffic. Lots of elk sightings! Beautiful scenery.

I've done this one several times. There's been times of maybe 200 deer/elk on it. Pretty hike to do in the early afternoon.

I wouldn't consider this a hike...more like a leisurely stroll next to a power plant and main road. Good to kill some time, but nothing special.

Easy peaceful walk around the beautiful Lake Estes. Great views of the lake surrounded by magnificent mountains!Good for all levels, especially family with kids or elderly. Benches along the trail. Wildlife will enjoy this with you too. You can park at visitor center or from Lakefront Street to Fisherman’s Nook parking lot.

I love to bike this park on my cruiser on my non hike days. A terrific city park. Lots of cool spots to take a load off. Nice wide lanes. People fishing lake and streams.

Yes, this paved walkway goes through downtown Estes Park. Obviously, that means it is not a nature hike. If you want a true hike go into RMNP. This is great for families. There are picnic areas and a playground. Anyone with realistic expectations will enjoy it.

The lake is beautiful but the trail is to close to the highway.

We stopped here to kill some time before our hotel room was ready. Beautiful afternoon walk with a nice view of the Rocky Mountains. The park was full of elk taking a naps under the trees. There was some traffic and folks fishing. Yes, this is by the main road but it’s still a lovely place for easy walk especially if you drove all day.

Great 3.75 mile walk when in town. All paved and great place to walk your dog, get in a quick uncluttered walk, or a bike ride for someone not interested in anything off road.

This is an easy paved loop "trail" along the town reservoir with lots of joggers, cyclists, fly-fishermen and women, and walkers. About as challenging as a walk around the neighborhood as most of the route is pancake flat, but a good place to do morning or evening walks and runs. There are workout and stretching stations scattered along the route and bathrooms every half-mile or so. Good views of Olympus, Pisgah, Twin Sisters, and Signal with some obscured views of Meeker and more distant ranges. My go-to when I just want to get outside quickly for some aerobic exercise.

We went hiking and encountered a power plant, sewer plant and the trail was by a busy road. Least favorite hike!

Nice and easy walk. Great for everyone. Our dog loved it. We had a few elk on the trail around 9am. Frequent benches and trash bins along the entire trail.

We parked at Lakefront St and walked to a picnic shelter near the resort. The perfect spot for lunch. Our 4 year old enjoyed dipping her toes in the cool water, watching the fishermen and tossing rocks into the lake. The wind really whipped up in the mid-afternoon.

I liked this trail. The lake and mountain views were beautiful. I don't like how this trail goes along the highway and through an industrial and gated area. We saw a group of elk which was wonderful.

It’s a great walk around the lake. I wouldn’t necessarily call it a hike though. It is paved with nice benches and trash cans every so often. The dog loved it

I actually think this is a gorgeous long walk, but definitely not a true hike. Would totally do again, however! Relaxing morning. Finished in about an hour and a half.

Decent trail. Concrete the whole way. Less of a hike, but with some beautiful views. We were fortunate enough to see a double rainbow while on the trail. Fairly flat other than around the dam.
