The Estes Lake Trail is not difficult, but it is beautiful and has 3 exercise points with around 30 different exercises available.

Beware of elk calving area . . . signs ;-) They were posted as "No Dogs Allowed", but then poop bag stations were all along the way. Dogs can swim in Lake Estes and there is a great dog park with agility course along the south side of the lake (technically this if just off the trail). Just walk through a tunnel to get there. A little too paved for my liking, but still pretty and fun.

A nice walk to do other than "shopping" on your day off from hiking or after a hike. Views of mountains, visit the marina, check out the dam, go by Wapiti Meadows where elk may spend the night, and possibly, as we did, have elk on the trail.

I wouldn't consider this a 'hike'. Very easy walk and great views of the mountains if you can see past the electrical towers.
