Located in downtown Estes Park, this 20-arce conservation easement permanently protects the open, natural character of it's wetlands, the Willows, and the rocky crest, the Knoll. No pets or bicycles are permitted as the area is intended for passive recreation and education. The site includes two historic structures of Albert Birch, former city editor for the Denver Post. The Ruins, a small, stone bungalow on the Knoll that was burned and The Cabin, a rustic log structure built right after the fire, down by the Willows. Elk and bear are known to frequent the area.

This park provides a nice getaway from the crowded sidewalks and stores while still taking in a mile+ walk. There are several benches throughout the area for relaxing with views of the mountains, Lake Estes, or Lumpy Ridge area. Wild flowers are being re-introduced to the east side of the park.
