Big bad news: vault toilets at trailhead are CLOSED due to idiot yahoos throwing in their trash. So pack a few squares of TP, ladies, and a little bag to pack it out. Limited privacy first mile of trail.

(3.4.17) Only hiked about 6 miles (3 out and back). The trail was snowy and slushy, but not too icy. I was able to hike it in boots alone, but you may want ice cleats. Those first three miles offer some good open views of the valley below.

Nice scenery, very forestry with creeks and meadows.

Went up twice in 2 weeks. If you're learning to snowshoe this is a great beginner trail. Not too many uphill/downhill's so that you can practice just walking in snowshoes. The trail is a bit difficult to see, you kind of have to judge where it is based on tracks from people before you. With all the Aspens around, I plan to go back during fall to see the colors
